Abdel Razzaq Takriti

Mahmoud Darwish Visiting Chair in Palestinian Studies

Abdel Razzaq Takriti is currently serving as the visiting Mahmoud Darwish Chair in Palestinian Studies at Brown University. He is the inaugural Arab-American Educational Foundation Chair in Modern Arab History and the Founding Director of the AAEF Center for Arab Studies at the University of Houston. Professor Takriti received his doctorate from St Antony's College, Oxford, and was a Junior Research Fellow at St Edmund Hall, Oxford. He is the author of Monsoon Revolution: Republicans, Sultans, and Empires in Oman (Oxford University Press, 2013) and the co-author and co-editor (with Karma Nabulsi) of The Palestinian Revolution digital humanities project (Oxford University, 2016). His peer-reviewed articles have appeared in major journals, including The American Historical Review.
