HOW TO GET TO PROVIDENCE FROM BOSTON LOGAN OR PROVIDENCE TF GREEN AIRPORT
Boston Logan Airport is situated approximately 49 miles north of Providence.
Train: Amtrak
From Logan Airport you take either the Silver Line shuttle (20 minutes) or a taxi (10 minutes) to Boston's South Station. From there, Amtrak offers many daily runs between South Station and Providence.
Commuter Rail: MBTA – there is an excellent commuter rail service between Boston and Providence.
Bus: Peter Pan Bus Service
Boston Logan to Providence Kennedy Plaza, located next to the Hampton Inn Providence.
Uber / Lyft: If a flight arrives into Boston Logan airport after 5 pm, you are permitted to take an Uber / Lyft service to Providence. Brown University will not, however, reimburse expenses for a taxi service between Boston and Providence.
Providence TF Green Airport is situated approximately 8.5 miles south of Providence.
You can take either a Providence Airport taxi or the Providence shuttle from T.F Green Airport to the Hampton Inn or the Watson Institute, the workshop venue. To ride the shuttle all you have to do is be at one of the stops at the pick-up/drop-off time. The airport shuttle to and from the Hampton Inn Providence leaves at 22 minutes past, and to/from Brown at 27 minutes past. Contact: 401-737-2868

Visitors may find parking on the streets in and around campus, although these are few and far between and subject to continuous monitoring to comply with Providence's parking regulations.
All visitors may utilize the Lot 68 self pay Visitor Parking garage, also called the Power Street Parking Garage, located at 111 Power Street. The visitor entrance is located at the intersection of Power and Thayer Streets. The garage contains two pay stations, which are located at the front and rear of the garage. Please locate an empty parking space, purchase your visitor parking permit via one of the pay stations, and place your receipt permit on your vehicle dashboard (hourly and daily rates are available). The daily flat rate of $15.00 is valid for the calendar date of purchase only and does not allow for overnight parking. If you need overnight parking or require a permit for more than a one day, please contact the Transportation Office at (401) 863-3157.
