George Bisharat

George Bisharat is an emeritus professor at UC Hastings College of the Law. He holds higher degrees in history (Georgetown University), anthropology and Middle East studies (Harvard University), and law (Harvard Law School). His principle research and writing interests are in law and politics in the Middle East, including U.S. policies toward the region, with particular focus on Palestine.  He is also a blues musician under the artist name “Big Harp George,” and his debut recording, entitled “Chromaticism,” was nominated for several awards.
